6-Metre Timber Carport with Classic Roof Profile

Size & Framework

This compact carport measures 5.95 metres long by 3.18 metres wide and stands on six sturdy wooden posts (120mm square), providing enough space to comfortably shelter one standard vehicle or multiple motorcycles and bikes. The strong timber framework ensures the structure remains solid and stable for years to come. Each post has wooden brackets that provide extra strength and support.

Apex Roof Design

The apex roof provides 24 square metres of covered space with a traditional pitched profile. The 15-degree angle creates a classic roof shape that sheds rain and snow effectively, making it ideal for properties with conventional architecture or areas with heavier rainfall. The roof frame is built with thick timber beams (44mm × 145mm) that spread the weight evenly across the structure. Interlocking wooden boards (18mm × 88mm) create a solid, weatherproof roof surface. Edge boards (18mm) reinforce the sides and help the structure withstand wind.

How It’s Made

The entire carport is made from Nordic spruce wood with 44mm thick profiles. This wood type is valued for its tight grain pattern, stability, and natural ability to resist moisture. All components are cut to exact measurements using computerised machinery, which means every piece fits together perfectly without any guesswork during assembly.

Delivery & Assembly

The carport arrives as a complete flat-pack kit wrapped in waterproof packaging, ready for outdoor storage before installation. Every piece is clearly labelled and comes with detailed illustrated instructions, making it straightforward to assemble using common household tools. The posts measure 120mm × 120mm. These are substantial wooden posts constructed from slow-grown Nordic spruce.

Yes, the kit includes the MF screws (8×50mm) shown in the drawings for anchoring the posts to the concrete foundation. However, the concrete foundation itself (C20/25 grade) must be prepared separately before installation.

The internal clearance height is 2.07 metres from the ground to the underside of the roof structure, providing adequate headroom for most standard vehicles and SUVs.

The kit includes 18mm roof boards. Final roofing material (shingles, metal, etc.) needs to be added separately to match the clients’ preference.

The structure is delivered as a knock-down kit, securely packed in moisture-resistant plastic foil for outdoor storage prior to assembly.
