30m² Apex Roof Carport for One Car or Garden Use

Size & Framework

Measuring 5.95 metres long and 4.18 metres wide, this carport stands on six robust posts (120mm square), offering space for one standard car or several motorcycles and bicycles. The solid timber framework ensures long-lasting stability. Wooden brackets at each post provide additional strength and visual appeal.

Apex Roof

The apex roof features a traditional pitched profile at 15 degrees, covering approximately 30m² of ground area including overhangs. The twin-slope design channels rainwater efficiently to both sides. Height measures 2.07 metres at the entrances, rising to 2.86 metres at the centre peak. Sturdy timber beams (44mm × 145mm) form the roof frame. Tongue-and-groove boards (18mm × 88mm) create a weathertight surface, with a ridge cover board protecting the apex. Edge boards (18mm) reinforce the perimeter.

The entire carport is constructed from Nordic spruce timber with 44mm thick profiles throughout. This timber species is prized for its dense, tight grain structure that provides exceptional dimensional stability and natural resistance to moisture and decay. All components are precision-cut using advanced computerised cutting systems (CNC technology), guaranteeing exact dimensions and eliminating the guesswork during assembly. Every piece slots together with engineered accuracy.

Frequently Asked Questions

A concrete foundation with a grade of C20/25 or higher is required. This is a standard structural concrete specification where C20/25 refers to the compressive strength of the concrete (20 N/mm² cube strength or 25 N/mm² cylinder strength). The foundation footings should be 500mm deep and 500mm wide for each post location, with the post extending approximately 264mm below ground level.

The kit includes 18mm roof boards and structural timbers. The final roof covering (bitumen, shingles, or metal) is selected by the client separately to match their requirements.

The kit includes MF screws measuring 8mm in diameter and 50mm in length for anchoring the posts to the concrete foundation. These Multi-Fix screws are used to secure each wooden post to the prepared concrete base.
