The GD-3 is a premium single external door made specifically for timber garden buildings, log cabins, summerhouses, and garden offices. Constructed from finger-jointed and laminated pine with a 68mm profile, this door delivers exceptional structural rigidity and long-term dimensional stability in demanding outdoor conditions.
Professional-Grade Security and Performance
The GD-3 features a high-quality MACO 3-point locking system, paired with adjustable MACO hinges for accurate alignment and reliable long-term use. It opens outward and includes rubber draught seals to block wind and rain, making it a strong option for year-round installations.
Thermal Efficiency
The double glazing provides excellent thermal performance while keeping the interior bright. Two 4mm tempered glass panes are separated by a 16mm cavity (4+16+4) filled with argon gas, which insulates better than air. One pane has a thin Low-E coating that reflects heat to reduce thermal transfer and improve energy efficiency. Silicone sealing, plus a spruce casing with rubber gaskets, improves weathertightness and helps minimize heat loss around the door. Overall, the assembly achieves a U-value of 1.1.
Ready for Professional Installation
Supplied with an aluminium threshold strip for protection and a fully finished spruce casing, the GD-3 integrates seamlessly into Dadsons’ range of timber structures. With an external frame width of 1054mm and height of 2072mm, it suits a wide range of standard cabin openings. All components are delivered ready for straightforward on-site fitting.
